Recommendations for the future

We have been working on the development of products that reduce environmental load and the creation of safe and secure workplaces with aiming to continue to be a company that is friendly to the environment and people.

Looking ahead to the next generation, we are accelerating our efforts such as the challenge of becoming
carbon neutral to realize a sustainable society.

What are the SDGs?

■ The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
■ They consist of 17 goals and 169 targets, and pledge to “leave no one behind” on Earth.

In 2021, we renewed our management philosophy to “Make the world smile with our technology and teamwork“.
It contains our desire to continue to be a company that can contribute to people around the world by further expanding the passion we have inherited from our predecessors for the environment and local communities. I believe, in addition to accelerating our activities so far, consideration for workers is becoming more important than ever in order to enhance our team strength while responding to the rapid changes that are happening now. I always think about what we should do as a company rooted in the community, and what I can do to keep everyone highly motivated and work comfortably. We also turned our attention to carbon neutrality and we have set targets and started company-wide activities from this year.
These efforts do not have an end point where “this is enough”, and I believe that we must continue to challenge ourselves. The goals of the SDGs are no more than a passing point, and Maruyasu Group works together as a team holding up high goals of “what we can do and how far we can go”.

Including environmental-friendly manufacturing, we are actively working on various field such as the development of products that contribute to carbon neutrality, the introduction of new technologies, and the reduction of waste.

Environmental preservation activities

In order to contribute to realize a sustainable society, we are working on environmental preservation activities such as carbon neutrality,
resource circulation, and water environment preservation.

Activities at the new plant

At the Fukuju Mirai Plant (Fukuju-cho, Toyota City), which was completed in the spring of 2022, we are working on the following new activities.

■ Adoption of a Co-generation (heat and power combined supply) system that generates electricity with natural gas and recover waste heat generated during its power generation
■ Realization of energy conservation through the adoption of solar panels, LED lighting and the latest equipment
■ Reducing the energy consumption by efficient production layout and reduction of transportation processes with one-floor structure
■ Reducing the energy consumption of air conditioning by adoption of double roof, heat insulating wall, and intake of outside air
